Step 1: Vision & Values
We help you develop consensus around aspirations that excite the whole organization and bring clarity to how they will benefit your stakeholders. If you already have a vision, we help you revitalize it until everyone necessary to your success can feel its energy. If you don't have values clearly articulated, we will help you look deeply inside and discover the highest values already operating within your organization. The actual Vision and Values statements are a crystallized output of the leadership sessions that bring them to fruition, during which the leadership and stakeholders reaffirm their commitment and excitement for the organization. Along the way we help you design processes to understand stakeholder aspirations and interests, filling in gaps of institutional knowledge and helping you obtain market research resources where appropriate. Step 2: Mission & Goals
We support the executive team in identifying the minimum number of critical and measurable goals (and associated objectives, tasks and metrics) to chart your course into the future you've defined for yourself. If you already have a Mission and Goals structure, we help you adjust it to enable greater involvement from your stakeholders. The Mission and Goals Framework sessions help everyone agree on the relative importance of each desired "end state" that defines your success so that when we're through, everyone understands exactly why the Goals are so critical to transformational success. Our work in this phase includes ensuring that the Board is fully briefed and supportive of the plan. Deliverable: Mission and Goals Framework.
Step 3: Support
Working with the executives and their direct reports, we then coach leaders and managers as they match these goals to short-term strategic tasks, including communicating the strategy to all stakeholders on an ongoing basis. For it is in their daily routines that stakeholders will unleash the power to co-create change capable of transforming your opportunities into successes. On some assignments the implementation challenges are significant enough to require bringing in additional third party expertise, in which case we will advise you as you choose strategically aligned resources and support the transition from planning to execution as appropriate to the engagement.
